Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!
If your equine business growth feels stalled, the issue might not be your marketing tactics—it might be your mindset.
Too often, when a launch doesn’t go as planned or sales feel slower than expected, we focus on external issues: pricing, audience, social reach, or marketing methods. And while all of those play a role, there’s one key piece we don’t talk about enough: your inner dialogue.
As equestrian entrepreneurs, we tend to overlook how our self-talk impacts our marketing and overall business strategy.
But the reality is, the story you tell yourself about your business, your capabilities, or your marketing efforts directly affects how you show up.
If you believe “I’m not good at marketing,” chances are you’ll avoid showing up, play small, or sabotage your progress. And that, my friend, will keep your equine business feeling stuck.
In this episode, I share how your beliefs influence your thoughts, which then drive your actions. That’s why the inner story matters—because you’re not just the business owner, you’re also a key part of your sales process.
To help you make a shift, you'll get a powerful 3-step framework borrowed from author Jennifer Rothschild in her book, Me, Myself & Lies.
3 Steps to Reframe Limiting Beliefs When Your Equine Business Feels Stuck
Recognize – Become aware of the limiting beliefs and assumptions you're making. Instead of getting frustrated, be curious about what you're thinking and why.
Refuse – Just because you’ve thought something repeatedly doesn’t mean it’s true. Make a conscious decision to no longer let that belief take up space in your mind.
Replace – Reframe your thoughts with a more empowering version. For example, replace “I’m terrible at marketing” with “I’m learning how to use marketing to connect with my dream clients.”
This simple mindset shift can be the turning point between staying stuck and moving forward.
When you start to reframe what you believe about yourself and your business, you create space for fresh strategies, new confidence, and sustainable growth.
So if you’re doing the work but still not seeing the traction you want, press play on this episode.
Let’s get to the root of what might be holding you back—because chances are, it’s not your marketing strategy. It’s the story you’re telling yourself.
