Money-wise as a business owner is more than just how much you’re making. The reality is you can make a lot of money in your business, but if you aren’t intentional about how you are spending it, saving it, or investing it, then is it really helping you build a sustainable business?
Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!
You know I’m all about helping you do more what of you love.
That’s why this week on the podcast we’re diving into something that’s key to building a business that’ll be around for the long-haul.
My guest is a lifelong equestrian and an expert in the topic of being money-wise, which is what she’s sharing about in this episode.
Ashley Wilson has over ten years of real estate experience and has been involved in over $60 million in transactions within both single and multifamily real estate. She gets family business as she co-founded Bar Down Investments with her husband, Kyle, as well as a high-end flipping business with her dad.
She gets building a successful business from scratch. And, don’t worry, she’s a horse person, too!
As a lifelong equestrian she’s been around plenty of horse business owners over the years so she knows many of the hang-ups that may be keeping you from building your dream horse business.
That’s why we’re getting super practical in our conversation. She’s not here to tell you how to invest in real estate – although that is what she does in her business. She’s here sharing with a heart for horse business owners, to help you shift your mindset in some practical ways that’ll help you to make your money work for you.
The reality is even if you make a lot of money in your business, if you aren’t intentional about how you’re spending, saving, or investing it, then is it really helping you build a sustainable business?
That’s where Ashley’s practical strategies are going to help you!
One quick word of advice. As you listen to the interview, and as you evaluate your own money mindset, keep your own personal and business goals front of mind. When your goals and dreams are your filter, there’s no stopping you!
3 Practical Ways to Be Money-Wise In Your Horse Business
Stop thinking, “How can I work for my money?” Instead think, “How can my money work for me?”
Reframe your view of outsourcing. Instead of more mouths to feed, consider it more hands to sew.
Give marketing its rightful place. It’s “everything” when it comes to building your business.
Of course, you'll want to listen to the full episode to dig into each of the insights Ashley shared and discover how you can apply each one in your horse business!
