How Much Does A Website Cost?

Have you wanted to have a website built but were afraid to ask what it costs? Three major areas determine how much it’ll cost for someone to build a website for your horse business. In this episode, we'll break them down together.

Welcome to the show notes! This is a brief summary of the podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!

Today we’re diving into a question that’s often at the forefront of people’s minds when I say that I do websites for horse businesses.

How much does a website cost anyways?

And it’s really a smart question. As a fellow business owner, I get it!

You know a website is important for your business and you want it to be excellent, but you also don’t want to walk into it completely blind about how much it’s going to cost.

Well, as you might expect, the answer to that question will be, “It depends.”

Helpful, I know! Just bear with me.

Asking how much a website costs is like asking how much it costs to buy a horse. It depends!

What age do you want? Green or broke or trained? A certain discipline or breed? You see what I mean.

Just as with buying a horse, many variables impact the price you’re going to pay for a website.

Now I’m assuming at this point that you’re ready to hire someone that can help you out with your website.

You’re busy running a business and you know that right now you don’t have the time or manpower (or womanpower) to do it yourself, especially to do it at the level of quality that reflects your business well.

So, let’s break it down a little bit on a super-basic, easy-to-understand-level.

There are three major areas that determine how much it’ll cost for someone to build a website for your business:

  1. Number of website pages.

  2. The person preparing the content (i.e. the words and pictures).

  3. Amount of customization.

Of course, this is the simplified version of what we talked about in this episode, so be sure to give it a listen for more detail on each of these areas that impact website cost!
