Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!

Social media is a constantly changing tool for marketing your horse business.

And there are definitely plenty of places you can go online to learn the hacks or see the latest updates on how to use the tricks or tools in the apps. So, that’s not what we do here on the podcast.

Instead, I’m more interested in helping you with your foundation. My goal is to guide you in your overall strategy and approach to creating content, no matter which platform or version you’re using. Because, at the end of the day, people buy from people, right?

Besides, if you spend hours trying to make a fun-to-watch transition reel on Instagram or searching for the latest trends on TikTok but you don’t have a strategy for how it’s connected to your business goals, then what’s the point?

Sure, social media will continue to evolve in terms of its delivery of content and perhaps even the types of content. But it’s still a platform being used by people who buy from people.

That’s why I want to help you create social media content that helps you to actually connect with those people that are right for your business.

You’ll get two strategies to guide your content creation, no matter what topic you’re posting about.

We’re focusing on the idea of connecting today because I know that many people see social media as a place to just put content out into the world. Yet there is a real person consuming your content.

And, when you create content, it’s your opportunity to create or deepen the connection you have with your followers or potential followers.

And ideally, as you deepen that connection, it’s building trust in you and your brand. If you’ve heard me say it once you’ve heard it 100 times: your followers and potential customers are buying from people, brands, and businesses they know, like, and trust.

Connection matters.

Here are two specific strategies to keep in mind so you can create content on social media that’ll help you connect with more of the right people on social media.

2 Strategies for Writing Social Media Content That Connects

  1. Be authentic. Create content that aligns with you and your brand.

  2. Be bold. Unashamedly share your opinions and outlook related to your niche in the industry.

Of course, you'll want to listen to the full episode to dig into each of the questions and content ideas and discover how you can apply each one in your horse business!
