Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!

Have you ever looked at your marketing and thought, “Why isn’t this working?”

You’re posting. You’re trying all the new trends and methods to get the word out.

But somehow, it still feels like you’re stuck in a never-ending loop that leads… nowhere.

If that’s you, I want you to hear this clearly:

You’re not bad at marketing. You’re just missing a few key pieces.

Let’s talk about what those might be—and how you can start turning things around.

3 Key Reasons Your Equine Business Marketing Feels Stuck

1. You’ve Been Running Someone Else’s Race

I know how easy it is to fall into comparison. You see what another horse business is doing—maybe it’s fancy branding, a viral video, or a shiny new offer—and suddenly, your own strategy feels small.

So you switch gears. You try to mimic their tactics. But it doesn’t feel aligned, and worse? It doesn’t work.

Here’s the truth: You started your business for a reason. You have a unique mission, voice, and vision.

When you define what your version of success looks like—and stay focused on that—it becomes so much easier to show up with clarity and confidence.

And guess what? Your audience can feel that difference.

2. Your Marketing Is More Patchwork Than Purposeful

There’s nothing wrong with scrappy. I’m a big fan of taking action with what you have.

But if you’re constantly winging it—bouncing between platforms, ghosting your audience for months, and launching without a plan—it’s no wonder things feel messy.

What’s missing here is strategy.

When you have a clear goal and a plan to get there, every post, email, and conversation has a purpose.

That’s when you quit chasing the algorithm and build a brand.

3. You’re Doing It All Alone

Horse people are known for our grit. We’re DIYers by nature.

But that doesn’t mean you have to grow your business in a silo with no support around you.

Whether it’s a mentor, a coach, or a like-minded business community—having someone in your corner changes everything.

They help you spot blind spots, stay accountable, and create a plan that fits your goals (and your life).

So, What Now?

If your marketing feels stuck, I want to encourage you to slow down and ask yourself some deeper questions:

  • What does “good” look like for me?

  • What are the real goals behind the marketing I’m doing?

  • Who can I invite in to help me build something sustainable?

You don’t have to keep spinning your wheels. There’s a better way—and it starts with getting honest about what’s missing.
